From [livejournal.com profile] crazyjay (and the first six were on her list, too):

Name 10 things that bring you a moment of joy, and tag 4 friends to do the same.

1. friends
2. listening to music I love/hearing a favorite song
4. remembering fond memories
5. nice long talks with close friends
6. when people show me love and kindness
7. Gilmore Girls reruns
8. dancing around like a goofball
9. hugs
10. spending time with my family

That was nice. I should make lists like that every morning. :)

Okay, I love the 90's music station. They just played Alanis' "Head Over Feet," followed by "Good" by Better Than Ezra and "Masterpiece" by Atlantic Starr, and now they're on to "Your Woman" by White Town. This is my music! (Well, that, and Tori and swing and showtunes and oldies and 80s... ;))

Are there any songs that always make you cry? There are plenty of songs that sometimes make me cry (commercials often make me cry!), but there's one that always does it for me:

Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

It popped up on Life With Bonnie today (hope that wasn't too spoilerish for anyone), so of course I cried. There's something so beautiful and yet so tragic about it to me... especially after seeing the commercial for 8 Simple Rules.

I know I've said this before, but a big part of me is dreading the episode. It breaks my heart just thinking about it. Then again, I have to learn to accept it, accept everything that's been going on...

On a happier note, Joan of Arcadia! )

One more thing -- I am becoming obsessed with the parents' plotlines on the OC. So, if anyone knows of any sites, communities, or whatever for them (not the teens), please drop me a line or something (thanks!). :)

Well, considering I've been up for about 21 and a half hours. I think I'm going to head to bed. I hope everyone (especially [livejournal.com profile] simplelyric, but of course everyone) has a as wonderful a weekend as possible. Good night, all.

Here's my random question: Did anyone ever, at one time in their life, use Prodigy as an internet provider and go on the different bulletin boards? I don't know why, but in one of my classes today, the "BB's" on *P (I think that's what we called it?) popped into my head. I guess that was my first addiction to the internet... first form of it, at least. :)

My current kick of nostalgia was most likely caused in part by the CD my jazz teacher played yesterday in class -- some of my old school favorites, like 2 Unlimited ("Twilight Zone") and Ace Of Base ("The Sign"). Boy, does that bring back memories.

Now, back to my never ending school work... I haven't been on much lately, but I hope everyone is doing well! :)

My Mood )

Why am I still up?

I need to go to bed. I can't get into the habit of staying up until at least 4:30. I'm not even particularly energetic or even awake. Yet I can't seem to go to bed.

On a random note, the song that's on right now makes me think of "Good Morning Miami" commercials. I wonder how that show will be next season. I didn't think it was particularly good last season, but I got into it and watched every episode, lol. I guess I was just a Penny fan.

Okay, now I need to go to bed.

So, anyone want evidence of Takeitha's mood swings?

I was listening to a random playlist on my computer, literally dancing around my dorm room to Christina's "All I Want Is You." The very next song was "Long December" by Counting Crows. I halted in my tracks and started crying on the spot. (The song, its mood, and the mention of hospitals really hit home in terms of my grandmother.)

Anyway, I popped in LeAnn Rimes, and I'm doing much better now. I just need to remember that God has a reason for everything, and He's not going to give any of us anything we can't handle. We just need to look to Him for strength, and He will give us all that we need. It's something I believe but tend to lose sight of from time to time.
