Comment and I will give you three interests on your list for you to explain about. Post your response in your journal, along with these instructions if you wish.

Fonzie - He is the definition of cool. Plus, just think of how much easier life would be if you always had a Fonzie around. He always wins, and he can get anything to work. Besides, if it wasn't for the Fonz, we wouldn't be able to discuss shows jumping the shark. Oh, and of course I have to mention one of my all-time favorite television couples, he and Ashley Pfister.

Scream - This is probably the first scary movie I ever watched and loved. It does such a fantastic job of combining suspense, humor, and, yes, character development. The acting is superb, and the music is pretty awesome, too. All in all it's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

The Stephen Clay Experience - On a shallow note, Michael Easton as a rock star? Very hot. Much more than that, though, I love the music and the whole concept. I just wish I could buy a CD.

Kin & Lynn

Part of Kin Shriner's SOD interview:

SOD: Who have you kept in touch with?

KS: I couldn't help myself-on my first day back, I called Lynn Herring and I said, "Guess where I'm standing? I'm in the Port Charles breezeway [between GH and where spin-off PC used to tape], and if I close my eyes, I can see the seven interns and you all milling around."

For those of you not in the know when it comes to a couple of my all-time favorite actors, pictures of Kin Shriner and Lynn Herring are at the top of my journal (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] marcal_92) and in my icon (thanks to Liz). =)

Hee! I just recognized Rebecca Staab -- she played Elizabeth, Alison's mom, on Port Charles. Go me!

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] chococat_girl. Btw, these are not necessarily my six faves, just the first ones I love that came to mind.

List your 6 favourite TV shows.

2. Degrassi: The Next Generation
3. Sports Night
4. Port Charles
5. The Young & The Restless
6. Party Of Five

raisingirl99: (Lucy In Her Wedding Dress)
I was tagging the entries from my first month on livejournal (June 2003), and I came across this, quoting something trina1of7 wrote on Fallin:

60. What do you think about the character Lucy Coe?
She is a delusional judgmental self-righteous hypocritical skank.

I called it "priceless." *glances at header* Clearly written before I fell back in love with Lucy Coe, huh? ;)

Edited To Add: I just came across a list of my current top ten soap couples. #4 was Jack & Carly (ATWT), and #6 was Katie & Mike (ATWT). I despise those two couples now (with an especially passionate hatred for Jack & Carly). My, how things change.

Ugh. I just wasted nearly an hour or so online, trying to find a place from which I could order a specific episode of Port Charles from 1997. I found one site, but it hadn't been updated in seven years or so; and the e-mail I sent them was returned. The thing is, I'm really stubborn, and had foolishly gotten my hopes up... so now the fact that I can't have this episode is driving me crazy. (Yeah, I lead such a tough life. *rolls eyes at self*)

Anyway, my point is this: If you know of any sites/reliable people from which I can order pre-arc Port Charles tapes or DVDs, then please let me know. I know I've asked this before, but I suppose it's worth one more try, right?

Oh, and I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful weekend!

I just learned that Jerry Orbach died of prostate cancer at the age of 69. :( My thoughts and prayers go to him and those who loved him.

Brian Presley, Brian Gaskill, and Michael Easton, all in the same scene?

Thank goodness the semester is finally over!
raisingirl99: (Rafe And Ali (by cammathisonfan))
[livejournal.com profile] cammathisonfan rocks. Why, you ask? Because she made my lovely Rafe and Ali icon for me, among other reasons. (Of course, if you know her, then you didn't have to ask. :))

I've gotten very little accomplished today, but I received in the mail (and read) the Spike book in the Degrassi Junior High series, so it's all good.

Hope everyone is having a fun, peaceful, and safe weekend!

"Robert Warner, you are evil in a can."

A *lot* of Anita's lines this episode have been heavy on the cheese factor, but I think that one takes the cake.

(Don't get me wrong; I actually really like Anita. I think the actress is a doll. I'm just not particularly fond of much of her dialogue sometimes.)

I <3 Rafe and Alison. I know there’s a lot about the Jamal/Alison break up I don’t like (not to mention the whole being-an-angel thing), but that doesn’t keep me from loving those two together. They are just adorable beyond words.

I’ve been on a bit of a Growing Pains kick lately. I watched THE COOLEST EPISODE EVER (okay, not really) the other night, "Daddy Mike," with Kelly Rowan (Kirsten on The O.C.) as Rachel, Mike’s love interest. (Mike met Rach after posing as a single father at a "Parents Without Mates" meeting.) It was actually a very funny episode in its own right, but seeing Kiki on GP was just the icing on the cake. :)

I don't have all that much time, so I just want to single out a few special icon makers.

[livejournal.com profile] simplelyric, I have to tell you that I still absolutely adore my Kelly Monaco icons. They bring back so many great memories -- of Port Charles and of getting to know you. Thank you a million times over for them.

[livejournal.com profile] spiffydaze, what can I say? I'd be hard pressed to find an icon maker who could match your quality or your quantity (let alone both!). I am especially appreciative of my gorgeous Jason Ritter/Kaley Cuoco icon. You did a great job with it (since I know it didn't lend itself quite well), and just looking at it makes me giddy. I think Jason and Kaley are talented and charming, and seeing them together also combines two of my fandoms (Joan of Arcadia and 8 Simple Rules). Plus, I know that both were important people to John Ritter, whom I still miss. So... long story short, that icon has tremendous personal meaning, and I am so very thankful that you were sweet enough to make it for me.

Finally, [livejournal.com profile] lavellebelle, you rock. Seriously. Kudos to you for creating such a sweet day, and major kudos for being so talented. I'm tempted to take just about every one of your Sarah Michelle Gellar icons, and I don't even like the Buffy Summers character. *g* My favorite icon of yours is the Joan of Arcadia one I chose for this post -- it gives me a sense of peace every time I look at it. The fact that one little icon has that kind of power... well, I think that's pretty amazing. So, thank you so very much!

In general, hugs to [livejournal.com profile] simplelyric, [livejournal.com profile] naushika, [livejournal.com profile] lavellebelle, [livejournal.com profile] pessimistreader, [livejournal.com profile] georgiamae, [livejournal.com profile] _extraflamey_, [livejournal.com profile] an_autumn_end, [livejournal.com profile] luthienancalime, [livejournal.com profile] ruffledhair, [livejournal.com profile] spiffydaze, [livejournal.com profile] morgaine22, [livejournal.com profile] sff_corgi, [livejournal.com profile] tonya1980, [livejournal.com profile] somefairytale, [livejournal.com profile] back_2_basics, [livejournal.com profile] topazangel, [livejournal.com profile] buffyx, [livejournal.com profile] effulgent_icons, and [livejournal.com profile] roukzeptea23. Also to everyone at [livejournal.com profile] cordelia_icons. You guys are creative, generous, and talented. Thank you!!!

Really, though, I admire each and every single one of you who has ever made an icon before. Thanks for making the internet just a little nicer. (Hee, I'm such a dork. :))
raisingirl99: (Caleb Thinks)
Could Michael Easton be any sexier? I didn't think anything could top his portrayal of Caleb on Port Charles, but on One Life To Live? *swoons*

(Okay, okay, I know that not all of you feel that way, but I certainly do. ;))

I was pretty whiny in my last post, and I apologize. I need to stop writing entries at 4 in the morning. :)

Anyway... off to grade papers, have a Tab, and listen to Tori.
raisingirl99: (Caleb & Olivia)
I forgot to watch Port Charles yesterday. *sobs* Seriously, if it's the worst thing that happens to me this week, then I'll be doing great. Still, if anyone knows when they might be reshowing the episodes from the week on SoapNet, then please let me know.

Classic General Hospital )

So, if anyone knows any good, reliable places online from which I can purchase old GH tapes, then *please* let me know. I'm particularly interested in Luke/Laura, Robin/Stone, Sonny/Brenda, or Kevin/Lucy eps. =)

Soaps/Port Charles Survey )

Good luck to everyone who needs it, for various reasons. I hope those who are under the weather (again, for whatever reason) feel much better soon, too.

[livejournal.com profile] rebeccastaabfan just made my day. Seriously. Port Charles will be airing on Soapnet! (Because I am lazy, and because she posted it so nicely, I suggest you check out her journal for more information.)

I started another post that was going to be me whining about my day, but now I don't feel like that anymore. Yay!

I've been rather random about the journals I have and have not read. So, if I've missed something important or haven't gotten back to someone yet about something, I do apologize.

Well, time for a little bit more stalling, then homework, then The O.C.! Then probably to bed, considering I'm pretty sleep deprived...
raisingirl99: (Default)
Yup, I'm watching SoapNet right now! Our cable provider just added it to our line-up. Of course, it has to happen after Port Charles is cancelled, but anyway. I'm just happy that'll I'll be able to watch any and all classic marathons that may be airing in the futue. :)

Thoughts on last night's television line-up...

Joan of Arcadia )

Hmmm. I guess that's all I feel like saying right now, though I loved Hope & Faith and Life With Bonnie last night, too.

Okay, there's a commercial on right now for a video of Siegfried & Roy's greatest moments (or something like that). Maybe it's just me, but there's something a little creepy about airing that right now.

Anyway... I hope everyone is doing well and has a safe and enjoyable weekend. :)
raisingirl99: (Default)
Over at the Fallin board, Kelly Monaco has two different characters up for Couple Of The Week -- Samantha (with Jax) from GH, and Livvie (with Caleb) from PC. As a fan of Kelly Monaco, I just thought that was pretty cool. :) I'm deciding between voting for Caleb and Livvie or Rafe and Alison, since it'll be the last chance I have to vote for either of them.
