Celebrity Family Meme )

The forecast is calling for heavy freezing rain today... so I guess we'll see... if nothing else, my first class has been cancelled (yay!).

Edited To Add: No School!!!

My O.C. Quirk )

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] shoshannagold, for the quiz! Also, thanks [livejournal.com profile] pretty_fish for my new icon. :)

Oh, and for anyone who might have been wondering a while back, Seth is from The O.C. (the teen drama on Fox over which I am currently obsessing, although my favorite characters aren't teens, except for adorkable Seth). Also, the correct answer was "Anna." Just kidding! ;) (Well, correct for me, anyway. :))

Oh, one last thing. I am not going on lj until after my finals are over Thursday evening (I *must* study), so until then, I hope everyone has a great week. For those of you taking finals/writing papers, good luck!

[livejournal.com profile] rebeccastaabfan just made my day. Seriously. Port Charles will be airing on Soapnet! (Because I am lazy, and because she posted it so nicely, I suggest you check out her journal for more information.)

I started another post that was going to be me whining about my day, but now I don't feel like that anymore. Yay!

I've been rather random about the journals I have and have not read. So, if I've missed something important or haven't gotten back to someone yet about something, I do apologize.

Well, time for a little bit more stalling, then homework, then The O.C.! Then probably to bed, considering I'm pretty sleep deprived...
raisingirl99: (LavelleBelleJoan)
I gave in. I starting reading a few friends' journals and just wasted about half an hour. Well, not really wasted, because I love reading what everyone has to say. I just need to get to work so that I can quit at 8 and watch my Friday night line-up (Joan of Arcadia, Hope & Faith, Life With Bonnie). (I have to have a chance to unwind, right? :))

Anyway... I am a very, very, very lucky girl. A deadline I thought was last Wednesday was actually... well, it'll be the Monday after Thanksgiving now (thanks be to God!). Which gives me so much more time to work on it. So, any prayers or positive thoughts that were sent my way are greatly appreciated.

Basically, while some things are going even worse (in terms of schoolwork), some is going much better. I definitely have reason to be thankful. (Which is convenient, considering Thanksgiving is next week... wow, I'm such a dork. I'm going to shut up now.)

Actually, one more thing. I finally had a chance to listen to Tales Of A Librarian... )

Anyway, who knows when I'll be back on (it all depends on how focused I am), so if I'm not on for a while, I hope everyone is doing extremely well. Have a safe and relaxing weekend!
raisingirl99: (LavelleBelleJoan)
Hopefully, I will not be on lj (if at all) over the next few days, maybe next couple of weeks. I say hopefully because I have an insane amount of work to do. (I'm becoming a broken record, aren't I?)

So, I hope everyone is doing well. Good luck with all new projects, schoolwork, work problems, and anything else that may be an issue right now with anyone. Also, for anyone under the weather, I hope you feel better!

Here's my random question: Did anyone ever, at one time in their life, use Prodigy as an internet provider and go on the different bulletin boards? I don't know why, but in one of my classes today, the "BB's" on *P (I think that's what we called it?) popped into my head. I guess that was my first addiction to the internet... first form of it, at least. :)

My current kick of nostalgia was most likely caused in part by the CD my jazz teacher played yesterday in class -- some of my old school favorites, like 2 Unlimited ("Twilight Zone") and Ace Of Base ("The Sign"). Boy, does that bring back memories.

Now, back to my never ending school work... I haven't been on much lately, but I hope everyone is doing well! :)

Argh. I've spent nearly the past hour listening to music one of my dance teachers was nice enough to lend me, trying to find a song for my choreography class. Ironically, this has taken up so much time that I won't be able to go in and practice dance this morning. I wish I had better decision making skills.

I also wish I were awake. I just wrote "making decision skills".

As long as I'm discussing all the things wrong with me, I'm a huge sap. The ending of Ed last night? Made me tear up. Not because it made me sad, but because I thought it was sweet. *rolls eyes at self*
raisingirl99: (Default)
I watched Ed tonight, and wow! I really enjoyed it. It wasn't what I expected, at all, but that's a good thing, right? Yay for being original.

Plus (and this is a big reason why I loved it so much, although Ed and Carol are adorable in their own right), I could completely see Dana and Casey from Sports Night in a similar situation. Maybe a few seasons down the road from when the show ended, but still. *sigh*

Now, snagged from [livejournal.com profile] dani_ellie (thanks!):

Obsession Test )

Also, for 8 Simple Rules fans, some Kaley Cuoco (Bridget on 8 Simple Rules) fans made an appreciation card for the cast, in case anyone wanted to sign it.

Okay, should be off to bed now so I can get up incredibly early and struggle to finish my number theory homework. Fun. :P

Okay. I just wrote and erased a fairly depressing entry. I simply wanted to say hi to everyone and apologize for not replying to anyone's entries or comments lately. School and work have been keeping me busy (and stressed). It could be a lot worse, though, so I need to focus on the good things.

Anyway. I need to get to bed, but I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. For those of you going through some difficult times, I truly hope things work out for you. You and your families will be in my prayers.

Ugh. I'm so worried about my linear algebra class, I feel sick. I'm also stalling because I do *not* understand the homework, so I had time to do this:

My Sorkin Series )
raisingirl99: (Default)
I've got about an hour of free time, right?

How should I spend it? Working on my thesis.

How will I spend it? Watching Guiding Light and surfing the net, most likely. I'm such a bad girl. *g*

Okay, so apparently my professor thought I was going to start working tomorrow. Oops. :\ Anyway, I'll be meeting with him this afternoon. I hope it works out...

Oh, and as for Hilary's new song? My first reaction was, "It's not that bad," which is probably not the reaction she was going for. Oh, well.

So I'm sitting in my (new) dorm room, not knowing when I'll be able to post this online. I've unpacked somewhat, had dinner, and now am trying to watch Alias as best I can (the ABC reception isn't the greatest). I have yet to meet my roommate, which makes me a little nervous. I start my job tomorrow, which makes me a lot nervous. In fact, I better go prepare now.

Oh, and by the way, I love Marshall. :)

ETA: I met her, and, yay! So far, she seems really nice. Needless to say, I'm very relieved. I just hope tomorrow works out well, too.

Find Out If You Are John Stamos!

Darn it.

In other news, I move back on campus today. Wish me luck!

Port Charles rocked today! Seriously, I just sat there watching with a big smile. In case anyone's wondering, for the past nine months, a lot of the show has involved a fictional band, The Stephen Clay Experience. (My man Michael Easton was Stephen Clay.) Anyway, today's ep involved a "Behind The Music" special on the band, complete with interviews with various PC characters. Not only was it creative and enjoyable, but the special also involved gorgeous pictures of Michael Easton, er, Stephen Clay. ;) I loved it!

For the record, yes, I am well aware that Port Charles only has a few months left until it's gone for good. While I really hate that, I don't want it to take away from my enjoyment of the PC we have left. I know everyone put a lot of hard work into The Gift (the upcoming, and final, arc), and I'm prepared to enjoy it for all it's worth.

In other, "real life," news, I got my summer housing assignment this morning and realized that there's only one internet connection in my dorm room. One. Which means my roommate (whom I have never met) and I cannot go online at the same time. Well, I'm pretty much addicted to the internet, and feeling stuck at school without the luxury of going online when I please freaks me out. I know I am being a *big* baby about this, and there are so many other bad things in the world, so there's no reason to get upset about this. Still, that was one of the things I was most looking forward to about being back on campus. *sigh*

On a good note, though, my room comes with a microfridge. Yay!
