Apparently, I am nothing like Caleb (or Luke or Ryan). )

Just had a fantastic evening watching The O.C. (so good!) and Mean Girls (even better!). Now I'm off to bed.

The O.C. was on tonight! Spoilers, obviously, for tonight's ep. )

So I watched the latest Degrassi: TNG ep last night. Spoilers for Voices Carry, Part One. )

Random Thoughts on Boston Public, Less Than Perfect, Joan of Arcadia, and 8 Simple Rules. )

I have more to say but not enough time, so I'll shut up for now. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

"Robert Warner, you are evil in a can."

A *lot* of Anita's lines this episode have been heavy on the cheese factor, but I think that one takes the cake.

(Don't get me wrong; I actually really like Anita. I think the actress is a doll. I'm just not particularly fond of much of her dialogue sometimes.)

TV Meme. )

I <3 Rafe and Alison. I know there’s a lot about the Jamal/Alison break up I don’t like (not to mention the whole being-an-angel thing), but that doesn’t keep me from loving those two together. They are just adorable beyond words.

I’ve been on a bit of a Growing Pains kick lately. I watched THE COOLEST EPISODE EVER (okay, not really) the other night, "Daddy Mike," with Kelly Rowan (Kirsten on The O.C.) as Rachel, Mike’s love interest. (Mike met Rach after posing as a single father at a "Parents Without Mates" meeting.) It was actually a very funny episode in its own right, but seeing Kiki on GP was just the icing on the cake. :)

(This post is for a friend of mine who I think would enjoy both of these, but I definitely recommend them to everyone. :))

Like Parent, Like Child, by SheridanLF. Awesome, awesome, awesome Passions fic. Nikki Crane/Noah Bennett. (This was written quite some time ago, pre-Fox, with Julian & Ivy still married, and Ethan & Theresa, as well as Sheridan & Luis, engaged.)

Sometimes People Surprise You, by the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] mandilyn. Ryan and Theresa, pre-OC.

Have a fantastic Friday, everyone! :)

Spoilers for 'The Heights,' The O.C. )

I know I'm constantly saying this, but I'm very much behind on reading everyone's journals, and I feel horrible about that. :(

School is school, blah blah blah. Joan Of Arcadia was fabulous -- I enjoyed it so much more this time around than before. I'm also becoming a big Luke/Grace fan.

I'm completely psyched for the Super Bowl -- I love my Panthers! =) (Sorry, but I'm obsessed.)

Also, I saw part of Thursday's debate for the upcoming Democratic primary in South Carolina. John Kerry reminds me so much of some actor on television, but I can't figure out who it is. It's been driving me crazy since then, though. *shrugs*

Okay, I think I've rambled enough for now. Have a great night, everyone!

The O.C.!!! (Includes spoilers for the ep that aired 1/7 in the U.S.) )

I'm becoming addicted to General Hospital spoilers. Which is odd, considering I rarely watch the show these days. Strange.

[livejournal.com profile] crazyjay mentioned the other day in her lj about what a great job Martin Spanjers has been doing on 8 Simple Rules, and I agree. He's had more of a chance to shine this year, and I think he's been excellent at both the drama and the comedy. I wonder if he felt embarrased doing this last ep, though. ;)

Oh, and I'm feeling better than I did earlier today. =)

First of all, thank you to those who gave me advice. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it, and I feel a lot better about things now.

Onto the more trivial...

Apparently, I'm not always getting e-mail notifications about replies and comments. So if I don't get back to you on something, I am extremely sorry.

So, Jennifer Garner, Amber Tamblyn, Bonnie Hunt, and Alicia Silverstone are up for Golden Globes? As is William H. Macy? Good for them. Of course, there are plenty of deserving actors and shows that didn't get nominated, as is always the case, but I don't feel like going into that right now.

Instead, on to The O.C. =) Scattered O.C. thoughts... )

Hee! Slater just did the "Roger Rabbit" on Saved By The Bell. (Does anyone even know what step I'm talking about? I've also heard it called the "Bobby Brown". Ah, the 80's.)

Yeah, I'll shut up now.
raisingirl99: (Jamali2)
I'm really enjoying Paul and Rosanna (aka Todd and Dixie!) on As The World Turns. I think they have a lot of chemistry, and as good as Roger Howarth is, I'm just not interested in him when he's in scenes with anyone else. Besides, I think he has chemistry with his onscreen sister Jennifer, and that creeps me out.

Michael Easton is incredibly sexy. I'm so excited that he, Matthew Ashford, and Heather Tom are all on One Life To Live now. I have to start back watching that one, too. =)

Did anyone else hear that JTT was going to be on 8 Simple Rules? Weird. *g*

Yeah, this was a pointless post.

Here's something remotely interesting: Vote for the best new television drama series for the People's Choice Awards here. If you have no opinion, may I suggest Joan of Arcadia or The O.C.? (The third choice is Cold Case, which I've never seen.)

Random (long-ish) thoughts of the day…

Why I am no longer a Kendall/Aidan fan. )

My Dream O.C. Triangle )

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my comments. They're just my opinions (and not particularly popular ones at that).

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening. =)

Also... yay Panthers! =)

My O.C. Quirk )

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] shoshannagold, for the quiz! Also, thanks [livejournal.com profile] pretty_fish for my new icon. :)

Oh, and for anyone who might have been wondering a while back, Seth is from The O.C. (the teen drama on Fox over which I am currently obsessing, although my favorite characters aren't teens, except for adorkable Seth). Also, the correct answer was "Anna." Just kidding! ;) (Well, correct for me, anyway. :))

Oh, one last thing. I am not going on lj until after my finals are over Thursday evening (I *must* study), so until then, I hope everyone has a great week. For those of you taking finals/writing papers, good luck!

[livejournal.com profile] rebeccastaabfan just made my day. Seriously. Port Charles will be airing on Soapnet! (Because I am lazy, and because she posted it so nicely, I suggest you check out her journal for more information.)

I started another post that was going to be me whining about my day, but now I don't feel like that anymore. Yay!

I've been rather random about the journals I have and have not read. So, if I've missed something important or haven't gotten back to someone yet about something, I do apologize.

Well, time for a little bit more stalling, then homework, then The O.C.! Then probably to bed, considering I'm pretty sleep deprived...
raisingirl99: (Default)
I'm behind on reading everyone's journals, as usual. I'm sorry about that -- once I graduate (in less than three weeks, actually!) I should have a little more time. Or, really, a lot more time. I just wanted to say a few things right now...

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday. If you're spending it with family, I hope you make some wonderful memories and don't drive each other crazy. ;)

If you have the time, you might want to check out this Slash Essay Research Poll.

Also, I did have time to do this... Which OC character are you? )

Take care, everyone! :)
raisingirl99: (Default)
I so don't have time to do this, but I'm sick of not updating. So, a few random (not so deep ;)) thoughts on tonight's the O.C.... )

Okay, enough pointless babbling. Must go back to homework. Have a great night, everyone! :)
raisingirl99: (LavelleBelleJoan)
Are there any songs that always make you cry? There are plenty of songs that sometimes make me cry (commercials often make me cry!), but there's one that always does it for me:

Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

It popped up on Life With Bonnie today (hope that wasn't too spoilerish for anyone), so of course I cried. There's something so beautiful and yet so tragic about it to me... especially after seeing the commercial for 8 Simple Rules.

I know I've said this before, but a big part of me is dreading the episode. It breaks my heart just thinking about it. Then again, I have to learn to accept it, accept everything that's been going on...

On a happier note, Joan of Arcadia! )

One more thing -- I am becoming obsessed with the parents' plotlines on the OC. So, if anyone knows of any sites, communities, or whatever for them (not the teens), please drop me a line or something (thanks!). :)

Well, considering I've been up for about 21 and a half hours. I think I'm going to head to bed. I hope everyone (especially [livejournal.com profile] simplelyric, but of course everyone) has a as wonderful a weekend as possible. Good night, all.
raisingirl99: (SimpleLyricTouch)
Oh, I loved the O.C.! I don't know how everyone else liked it, but it held my interest the entire time. Which is a first. Anyone else watch?

My one problem with the show... )

ETA: As usual, behind on just about everything. Which includes reading everyone's journals/replying to people. Also includes homework (you know, nothing important). So, of course, I go and watch That 70's Show and the O.C. Will I ever learn?
