Sunday Post

First of all, thank you so much for the card, [livejournal.com profile] samibee924! That was really sweet of you. :)

Reason #1496039840 why I worry too much: A big part of me is afraid to go see Meet The Fockers, because I enjoyed Meet The Parents so much that I don't want an inferior sequel to ruin the original for me. I'm actually nervous.

Man, the Carolina Panthers' loss was heartbreaking last night (er, technically, this morning). *sighs* I know that all hope is not completely gone, but it's pretty slim. Then again, the fact that the Panthers dug themselves out of the 1-7 hole to get a legitimate spot in the playoff race is pretty amazing. I'm so proud of those guys.

I spend a lot of time obsessing over which icons to use. It's not necessarily a bad thing -- I've had unhealthier obsessions in the past -- but it's a little strange. Too bad we don't have the option of using more than 50 icons. To be honest, it's not just icons, but pictures (screen caps, etc) in general. I just spent quite a bit of time, for example, sorting out my pictures into different folders. It doesn't look as pretty to me anymore, but at least I feel organized. While we're on the subject, too, I've been capping (wow, it feels weird for me to say that) She's Too Young lately.

She's Too Young, in case you were wondering, is a Lifetime original movie in which Miriam McDonald (Emma from Degrassi: The Next Generation) has a supporting role. (Side note on Miriam: A couple of nights ago, I dreamed, among other things, I was looking up Miriam McDonald's name on IMDB -- or something of the sort -- and discovered that there was an actress also named Miriam McDonald who had played a younger Harley on Guiding Light.) Anyway, back to STY. I don't want to give away my favorite (unintentionally, I think) humorous line, but apart from that, I thought it was pretty good. I originally had wanted to see it only for Miriam (and to compare Miriam's character, Dawn, to Emma), but I started watching the other scenes and was hooked.

Anyway. I feel like I had a point to make somewhere, but it has escaped me. Oh, well. Have a wonderful evening, everyone!

I agree! Her crying scenes really got to me.

HAHA me too! :) I saw Closer the other day at the movie theater, and whew did it have alot of profanity in it! I don't really mind though, but some people walked out. It still had a good plot though.

Some people walked out because of all the profanity?!? Wow. That's cool that it had a good plot, though. I don't go to the movies all that often (though I love it), but I'll keep that in mind. :)

Not only do I obsess over which icon to use, I feel guilty whenever I'm forced to delete one. Especially if its one that someone has made for me. :( I wish I could keep them all.

[identity profile] raisingirl99.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Me, too!!! I just deleted one over the past couple of days that someone made for me, and even though I highly doubt she'd care (or even notice), I definitely felt guilty about it. I have to keep reminding myself that I can always add it back later on if I feel like it.

Oh, and speaking of icons, yours is adorable (and fitting). :)

I'm torn about whether or not to see Meet the Fockers for the same reason. My mom is bugging me to see it because she claims it looks hilarious. But I'm slightly against sequels. Blaaah, so, yeah, we're in the same boat.

Heh, I have She's Too Young on tape. I love Miriam in it.

Occasionally, I think sequels can be really good -- I absolutely love both Scream and Scream 2. I haven't seen Scream 3, though, for similar reasons as before.

I downloaded She's Too Young the day before one of the times Lifetime decided to show it again. I have lousy timing (or maybe I just need to check the listings more often).

Hmmm... Usually I prefer originals over sequels (except in the case of Psycho... I liked Psycho II much better), but I have a good feeling about Meet the Fockers --It looks freaking hilarious! :)

I spent a lot of time obsessing over which icons to use.

So do I... I have a free account, so I can only use three, but still, I hate deleting icons.

I haven't seen either Psycho, so I can't comment on that. As I was just saying, I love both Scream and Scream 2, and I'm not sure which one I like better. I loved the first Look Who's Talking, liked the third, and didn't like the second (which isn't quite the order I would have expected). Mostly, though, I agree about originals being better. However, I hope you're right about Meet The Fockers! :)

Haha, I hope I’m right, too, since I’m going to see Meet the Fockers with my family later this week! ;)

About Scream, I like Scream 3 more than I like Scream 2, but I don’t like either of them as much as I like the original... But hey, that’s just me! ;)

Maybe I will try Scream 3 sometime, then. :)
