My journal is called Really Deep Thoughts. It comes from a couple of lines in the Tori Amos song "Silent All These Years": So you found a girl who thinks really deep thoughts. What's so amazing about really deep thoughts? The "swirl and swirl and swirl and swirl and..." part is from the Tori Amos song "Raspberry Swirl," simply because I felt like it.
My friends page is called Purple People, which also happens to be the title to yet another Tori Amos song.
My username is RaisinGirl99. The RaisinGirl part is from the Tori Amos song "Cornflake Girl". As Tori described the lyrics in the Spring 1994 issue of Schwann Spectrum, "'Never was a Cornflake girl, thought that was a good solution, hanging with the raisin girls.' Cornflake means white bread to me, and the raisin girls are whole wheat. So it's Wonder Bread as opposed to whole-wheat bran, whether that's multi-cultural or just being open." The 99 part is a reference to Agent 99, the heroine of one of my all-time favorite shows, Get Smart.
My default userpic is currently the Snake/Spike one (from Degrassi), because I love those two together, and I love Christmas, too. Since my friend Liz is absolutely awesome, she decided to combine those two loves in an icon.
I need to get to bed -- I have lots of studying ahead of me this weekend, and I'm quite exhausted -- but I think I'm going to stay up a bit longer and read A Wrinkle In Time, which I checked out of the library a couple of days ago. (I'm enjoying it so much!)
