Basically, she told him that he needed to start a new life and move on, but he said some incredibly sweet stuff about how if she went to prison he'd buy a house right next door, be there during every single visitors' hours, etc. I really wish I had the quotes in front of me, because it was so romantic. :)

I really liked that Ed episode, too, but it's one of the eps that has increased rather than decreased my dislike of Carol. I wish I could've started watching the reruns from the very beginning, as maybe seeing the foundation for Ed/Carol would've helped me to appreciate it more as the story continues.
