I have more to say but not enough time, so I'll shut up for now. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

A *lot* of Anita's lines this episode have been heavy on the cheese factor, but I think that one takes the cake.
(Don't get me wrong; I actually really like Anita. I think the actress is a doll. I'm just not particularly fond of much of her dialogue sometimes.)

Happy Icon Makers' Appreciation Day!
Mar. 31st, 2004 09:32 pmI don't have all that much time, so I just want to single out a few special icon makers.
simplelyric, I have to tell you that I still absolutely adore my Kelly Monaco icons. They bring back so many great memories -- of Port Charles and of getting to know you. Thank you a million times over for them.
spiffydaze, what can I say? I'd be hard pressed to find an icon maker who could match your quality or your quantity (let alone both!). I am especially appreciative of my gorgeous Jason Ritter/Kaley Cuoco icon. You did a great job with it (since I know it didn't lend itself quite well), and just looking at it makes me giddy. I think Jason and Kaley are talented and charming, and seeing them together also combines two of my fandoms (Joan of Arcadia and 8 Simple Rules). Plus, I know that both were important people to John Ritter, whom I still miss. So... long story short, that icon has tremendous personal meaning, and I am so very thankful that you were sweet enough to make it for me.
Finally,
lavellebelle, you rock. Seriously. Kudos to you for creating such a sweet day, and major kudos for being so talented. I'm tempted to take just about every one of your Sarah Michelle Gellar icons, and I don't even like the Buffy Summers character. *g* My favorite icon of yours is the Joan of Arcadia one I chose for this post -- it gives me a sense of peace every time I look at it. The fact that one little icon has that kind of power... well, I think that's pretty amazing. So, thank you so very much!
In general, hugs to

Really, though, I admire each and every single one of you who has ever made an icon before. Thanks for making the internet just a little nicer. (Hee, I'm such a dork. :))

Just a quick, random-ish post...
Feb. 20th, 2004 10:25 pmI don't have time for all the fannish comments I'd like to make, but I will say this: 8 Simple Rules was awesome this week! I know that his character was just introduced two episodes ago, but I am completely obsessed with Jeremy and Bridget. I guess there's something appealing about the popular girl and the geek. I only wish Jonathan Taylor Thomas had more than one more episode left. *sigh*

Feb. 15th, 2004 01:36 amAlthough I'm watching Daria right now, I've been watching a little of the I Love Lizzie marathon. I'd forgotten how much fun some of the episodes are.
I saw half of the Tad The Cad marathon earlier today, and got a big kick out of seeing Dorothy Lyman as Opal. :)
I just learned that Alan Oppenheimer (the voice of Alistair Crane on Passions) was on Get Smart, which made me extremely excited. I also found out My So-Called Life will be coming to The N -- yay!
8 Simple Rules was awesome Tuesday, as was Scrubs.
I guess that's it for the fannish, and I don't feel like talking about real life because a Lizzie episode I've never seen is coming on, so, ta! :) Have a great rest of the weekend, everyone!
Edited To Add:

California, here we come...
Jan. 7th, 2004 10:57 pm( The O.C.!!! (Includes spoilers for the ep that aired 1/7 in the U.S.) )
I'm becoming addicted to General Hospital spoilers. Which is odd, considering I rarely watch the show these days. Strange.
crazyjay mentioned the other day in her lj about what a great job Martin Spanjers has been doing on 8 Simple Rules, and I agree. He's had more of a chance to shine this year, and I think he's been excellent at both the drama and the comedy. I wonder if he felt embarrased doing this last ep, though. ;)
Oh, and I'm feeling better than I did earlier today. =)

Dec. 17th, 2003 03:05 pmI'm really enjoying Paul and Rosanna (aka Todd and Dixie!) on As The World Turns. I think they have a lot of chemistry, and as good as Roger Howarth is, I'm just not interested in him when he's in scenes with anyone else. Besides, I think he has chemistry with his onscreen sister Jennifer, and that creeps me out.
Michael Easton is incredibly sexy. I'm so excited that he, Matthew Ashford, and Heather Tom are all on One Life To Live now. I have to start back watching that one, too. =)
Did anyone else hear that JTT was going to be on 8 Simple Rules? Weird. *g*
Yeah, this was a pointless post.
Here's something remotely interesting: Vote for the best new television drama series for the People's Choice Awards here. If you have no opinion, may I suggest Joan of Arcadia or The O.C.? (The third choice is Cold Case, which I've never seen.)

Nov. 1st, 2003 02:56 amAre there any songs that always make you cry? There are plenty of songs that sometimes make me cry (commercials often make me cry!), but there's one that always does it for me:
Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
It popped up on Life With Bonnie today (hope that wasn't too spoilerish for anyone), so of course I cried. There's something so beautiful and yet so tragic about it to me... especially after seeing the commercial for 8 Simple Rules.
I know I've said this before, but a big part of me is dreading the episode. It breaks my heart just thinking about it. Then again, I have to learn to accept it, accept everything that's been going on...
On a happier note, ( Joan of Arcadia! )
One more thing -- I am becoming obsessed with the parents' plotlines on the OC. So, if anyone knows of any sites, communities, or whatever for them (not the teens), please drop me a line or something (thanks!). :)
Well, considering I've been up for about 21 and a half hours. I think I'm going to head to bed. I hope everyone (especially
simplelyric, but of course everyone) has a as wonderful a weekend as possible. Good night, all.

Just a Little TV Info...
Oct. 18th, 2003 03:16 pmAccording to pavanbadal at Sitcoms Online, James Garner (in at least four episodes) and Suzanne Pleshette (in at least one ep) will be playing Cate (Katey Sagal)'s parents in 8 Simple Rules, once the show returns. I love both those actors, so I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Well, not so much looking forward to seeing them, because I'm kind of dreading "Good-bye" (the Nov. 4 episode where the Hennessy family deals with the loss of their father), but I'll definitely be turning in.

Oct. 7th, 2003 09:00 pmStill haven't been reading people's journals and such (I apologize and am looking forward to having the time to do so), but I wanted to post about this (at least briefly):

We love you, John Ritter.

Sep. 24th, 2003 10:26 pmI watched Ed tonight, and wow! I really enjoyed it. It wasn't what I expected, at all, but that's a good thing, right? Yay for being original.
Plus (and this is a big reason why I loved it so much, although Ed and Carol are adorable in their own right), I could completely see Dana and Casey from Sports Night in a similar situation. Maybe a few seasons down the road from when the show ended, but still. *sigh*
Now, snagged from
dani_ellie (thanks!):
( Obsession Test )
Also, for 8 Simple Rules fans, some Kaley Cuoco (Bridget on 8 Simple Rules) fans made an appreciation card for the cast, in case anyone wanted to sign it.
Okay, should be off to bed now so I can get up incredibly early and struggle to finish my number theory homework. Fun. :P

Sep. 23rd, 2003 09:16 pmPulled out Tori Amos' Boys For Pele today. I had forgotten just how awesome some of the first songs on the CD, like Blood Roses, were. Plus, I listened to this CD over and over one summer, so it brings back good memories. :)
( 8 Simple Rules )
I had all these other things I was going to say in this entry that were at least somewhat interesting, but I seem to have forgotten them all. Um... yeah, I got nothing. *g*
Oh, and I just heard from
crazyjay that Gordon Jump (of WKRP fame) passed away. Rest in peace, Gordon.
